Terms of Service
These terms cover buying and using services from Build With Rach (Rachel McKay, sole trader, NSW, Australia) — diagnostics, builds, workshops, residencies, ongoing support and the free tools on this site. Plain English on purpose. If anything's unclear, ask before you buy.
Prices and GST
All prices are in Australian dollars. GST treatment is set per offer and stated beside every price — some offers are published GST-inclusive, others are published ex GST with GST added on the invoice. A single page never mixes the two, so whichever treatment you see on the page you're buying from is the one that applies.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Services are for use by the purchasing business and aren't transferable to someone else without a quick OK first.
Founding rates
Several offers are currently sold at a founding rate below the list price, with the number of remaining places shown on the page. That rate is a trade, not a discount: founding clients agree to give feedback and a testimonial, allow their name, logo and the build to be shown in marketing, take part in a check 90 days after handover with before-and-after numbers recorded, and sit for a short recorded debrief at the end. If you'd rather not do those things, you're welcome to pay the list price instead.
On recurring offers, the founding rate is locked as a percentage off the then-current list price and holds for as long as the subscription stays active — if the list price rises later, your percentage comes with you. Cancelling ends it. On one-off offers, the founding rate applies to that purchase only; it doesn't carry forward to a later booking.
When a founding count fills, the rate ends and the list price applies from the next booking. The counts shown on the site are real.
Payment terms
- Build engagements are 50% to book and 50% before handover, in both the done-with-you and done-for-you modes.
- Instalment plans are available on request. They're priced above pay-in-full, and the label says so.
- Paying in full earns a bonus, never a discount.
- Ongoing and monthly offers are billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled at any time unless the page says otherwise.
Scope and quotes
Every build starts with a written scope and a fixed quote, agreed before any money moves. No day rates, no metered hours. What's delivered is what's scoped; anything added along the way is agreed and quoted in writing first.
Where a page publishes a "from" price, that's the floor for a straightforward version of that work — your quote is fixed after scoping.
Done-with-you engagements
In a done-with-you build, you drive and I guide. I don't take the keyboard — the moment I'm the one clicking, it's a done-for-you engagement and it's priced accordingly. That line is what holds the price difference between the two, and I'll raise it during the build rather than after it.
Done-with-you builds run in intakes. Access to the community space is open for the length of your build and closes at handover.
Done-for-you engagements
A done-for-you build is an onboarding call, a short video update at each milestone, and a handover call — with a midpoint check-in on the larger engagements. The price difference isn't buying more of my calendar; it's buying my hands on the keyboard.
Revisions: feedback belongs at each milestone update, where direction can still change cheaply. After handover you get one consolidated revision round within 14 days. That round is for polish, not redesign — a change of direction after handover is quoted as new work.
What you own
You own everything built for you — the deliverables, the code, the accounts, the documentation — from the point of final payment. Anything built in your own workspace is yours from day one and keeps working whether or not we ever speak again.

Recordings and privacy
Live sessions are recorded and the replay goes to you. Recordings stay private by default. Using any part of your session, your build or your name in marketing or teaching needs your explicit permission — and where founding pricing applies, that permission is asked for separately and in writing rather than assumed.
The free tools
The tools in the toolbox are free to use, provided as-is, and may change or disappear without notice. They give you a starting point, not advice about your specific situation. Where a tool asks for your email, it's covered by the privacy policy.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded — including that they'll be provided with due care and skill and be fit for the purpose we've agreed.
Liability
Beyond those consumer guarantees, liability is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding what you paid for it, at my option. I'm not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.
Changes
These terms may change. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published when you bought. The date at the top tells you when this was last updated.
